Ongoing Annual Activities

Each year the Ypsilanti Chapter promotes patriotism and supports veterans by participating in parades and donating home made lap robes and comfort items for the Ann Arbor Veterans Hospital.  A collection and donation is also provided to the Homeless Veterans.

A major support for education is our annual DAR Good Citizen Program honoring students chosen by local high schools. A collection is also done to help support the DAR Schools.

We are honored to present a gold ROTC medal at Eastern Michigan University and a Junior ROTC medal to participating local high schools.

Special projects change from year to year as we strive to serve in our community and beyond.
